It’s time for Puppy K!
My name is Ruth Carlson, daughter of Annie Carlson. I’ve been working on the farm with the puppies since I was a young girl. I'm 22 and I currently am in college, work part time as a preschool teacher, (I teach the morning classes.) and I am the Puppy Kindergarten trainer.
I am offering a week of Puppy Kindergarten that will jump start your pup’s journey to becoming a sociable, well-behaved dog.
I have been involved with Annie's Doodles my whole life growing up here on the farm. I have socialized puppies, birthed litters, run Puppy K, and maintained facilities.
Here is a sneak peek to what I offer:
It is my goal that, by the end of the week, I will have set a firm foundation from which you and your pup can build. The transition from romping around with their brothers and sisters to being the only cutie around can sometimes be difficult and intimidating for your pup. Puppy Kindergarten allows your pup to learn new and exciting behaviors while still enjoying the comfort and familiarity of the Carlson Farm.
There are limited spots available, so make sure you sign up soon. Tuition for the week is $450.00. I look forward to working with you, your family, and your pup!

Here is a sneak peek to what I offer:
- Preliminary Crate Training: giving your pup a positive first experience with their crate, so they learn to use it as a comfortable “safe place.” By the end of the week your puppy will be sleeping through the night in the crate and they will continue to do so if you follow the instructions that I will give you!
- Setting a Schedule: just like babies, pups do best when they have a set schedule. Naps, food, and play are the routine a puppy loves most. I will put your puppy on a set schedule that I will have written out for you at pick up. Your puppy will not be potty trained, but will have a good foundation to work from.
- Obedience Training: it is never too early to start teaching your pup the basics of good manners. I will begin to teach them that, what might have been good fun with their littermates (barking, biting, etc.) is no longer appropriate for their new families! I will do this by infusing the Baxter & Bella online training program along with Annie's Doodles training methods that we have used for years here at the farm. The obedience course includes…
- Clicker Commands
- Contentment Training
- Name Learning
- Noise Exposure
- Socialization
- Walking on the Leash

Here's what Mark G. says about Puppy K!
"We would not have survived the first few months with our puppy had we not utilized Ruth and her Puppy Kindergarten. From the first night, our puppy happily went into her crate for naps and bedtime. Even when we would take her out for a mid-sleep potty she would happily go back into her crate to resume her sleep. The skills our puppy learned at Puppy Kindergarten, contentment training, the leash, and most importantly the crate truly made the biggest difference in the transition home. It made the experience of bringing home a puppy stress-free and actually fun. We are SO THANKFUL that Ruth offered this service." - Mark G.
