What does it mean to be #1 on a litter list?
If you want a pup with particular characteristics (color, gender) means you need to be the #1 spot on a particular litter. This usually means that you have to wait longer as my lists fill up fast!
Can I change litters?
Once you are on a specific litter list there is no changing litters. My husband and I firmly believe that the most important thing about your pup is not the gender or the color, but the carefully chosen characteristics passed down by our mamas and papas. In our opinion, the parentage and how we raise your pup before they leave the farm is what determines who your pup will be. We did the work years ago picking great parent dogs that will produce great puppies!
Is there a difference between females and males?
There are a lot of stereotypes out there about what a female, or male dog is like. Or, maybe you grew up with all female dogs so therefore that is what you are familiar with and want. I encourage you to be open! (I get equal requests for either gender. ) We will address this issue in particular over the phone once I receive your application. If, at that time, you remain unconvinced and would like a certain gender you will have to be put as #1 on a list.
What is a Puppy Application?
We want our puppies to go to only the best homes. We check you out just like you checked us out! We also use the application to match you with a puppy with the right temperament for your household. When the puppies are born we watch each puppy and track them for several weeks. We will take pictures of each puppy and send them to you. You can choose two or three puppies that catch your eye. By 7 weeks we will together narrow down just the right doodle for you. |
What does purchasing a pup include?
All puppies go home with the following: - A copy of your puppy's 8 week vet health checkup - AEDIQ Microchip and registration form - Worming and waccination records - Grooming Instructions - A new collar - A soft chew toy - A blanket filled the scent of your pup's litter mates - Training tips - Follow up support for the duration of your puppy's life - A 2 year health guarantee* Are the Puppies Hypoallergenic?
NO, There is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog breed. Although some individual dogs may cause fewer allergy symptoms than others. Many people think that pet allergies are caused by a dog's fur, but sometimes the real source of pet allergies is often a protein that's in the saliva and urine of dogs. Our dogs might be a bit more allergy friendly to folks who are sensitive to shedding. Our Doodles do not shed much! What is a Guardian Home?
Boone and I are committed to raising our dogs in a "family atmosphere." Annie's Doodles is not a kennel. We make this a priority by only having a small number of our dogs on our farm. The other mamas are in what we call "guardian homes." It is a win- win-win situation for Annie's Doodles, the dog and the guardian family. A guardian family must live within a 100 mi radius of Ferndale, WA. Annie's Doodles maintains the breeding rights on the dog until the dam is retired. At that point the guardian family gets to keep the dog free of charge. There are many rules that a guardian family must adhere to, so it is a little more than just a "free dog." If you are interested you can contact me! |
Is the deposit non-refundable?
We will refund your deposit up until you commit to an exact puppy litter list. At that point your deposit becomes nonrefundable. The great thing about the deposit is it is my promise to you to hold a puppy for you, and your promise to me to keep your commitment to adopt that puppy! |
We live at a distance, will you ship my new puppy?
Yes, let me know you are interested on the Puppy Application, and we will chat about!

Can We Come Visit?
Well... Yes, and no!
Yes, we welcome visitors and people who have reserved a pup when the puppies are 8 weeks old! We call it "Puppy Pickup Day"! This is a very exciting day around our house. It is always fun for me to put a face to the people I have chatted with or emailed back and forth with!
No, we do not accept visitors before the pups are 9 weeks old! Because of the threat of the Parvo virus which can inadvertently come on to our farm via visitor's clothing, or shoes we are very strict about our no visitor policy. It is our number one priority to keep the puppies healthy and growing so they are ready to go home at 9 weeks to their forever families. If one puppy is exposed to the Parvo virus it spreads quickly and can wipe out every puppy on the farm. We adhere to this strict policy and you will find that most conscientious breeders do the same.
